Quote:  CAR Magazine Editorial Team:

“With classy styling, a quality interior and two excellent new-generation turbo-petrol engine options that offer terrific fuel economy, this Peugeot measures up to its Teutonic rivals.  The chic C-segment sophistication is the best offering in Peugeot’s line-up and deserves to sell better.”

“With a little over 1000 individual models available in South Africa, the customer has an almost unlimited range to choose from.  As an importer, with small volumes, the Peugeot Brand is not always top-of-mind for the consumer’’, says Francis Harnie, the managing director of Peugeot Citroën South Africa.  “Receiving an award for the Peugeot 308, from a reputed team of judges will assist and guide the consumer into making the right choice”.

Quality was one of the main cornerstones of the 308 project, deeply embedded in the work performed by every team at every design stage.  The clearly expressed aim at the launch was to position the Peugeot 308 at the top of its segment right away.  The result was commended by the public and media, which resulted in the 308 being chosen as the 2014 European Car of the Year.  Responding to market expectations, the Peugeot 308 went on to reap thirty or so prizes worldwide throughout its first year of sales.  These awards enhance, among other things, the overall perception of the new vehicle quality.

“Illustrating the brand’s move up-market and the high level of quality, places the Peugeot 308 among the best.  Further proof of this is that the Peugeot 308 is a finalist in this year’s Wesbank SAGMJ Car of the Year Competition, where the winner will be announced on 8 March’’, concluded Harnie.
