Microsoft Office Offers Users More

The Galaxy Note5 comes installed with Microsoft Office to give users access to the software they need to remain productive and in touch, no matter where they are and with Microsoft OneDrive, customers receive an additional 100GB of storage free for two years. Users can automatically upload photos they take with their Galaxy Note5 with enough space for 38,000 images which can be easily viewed and shared from the device. The high resolution display makes using spreadsheets and word documents simple and easy, providing everything business user’s need, even when not in the office.

Seamless Connection with SideSync

The enhanced features of the Galaxy Note5 allow for a seamless connection between the smartphone and a computer or tablet through Wi-Fi connection, meaning notifications that arrive on the handset will show directly on the computer monitor. Once the devices are manually paired, the new auto connection feature provides a seamless pairing interface to re-connect the devices. Moving information from one Samsung device to another is simple with SideSync two-way file sharing: Galaxy Note5 users can drag and drop files from the smartphone to the PC and vice versa.

The all-new S Pen makes note-taking so much easier, an essential tool for any professional. The S Pen can be used to take notes, write emails and it can even log notes without having to turn on the phone. The Galaxy Note5 provides the facility to annotate PDFs which makes a big difference, especially for people who have to sign a number of documents.

A Step-up in Security

Security is paramount to any business user and the Galaxy Note5 provides technology and solutions that respond to this. The built-in fingerprint scanner effortlessly unlocks the device when accessed by the right individual, adding on another layer of much-needed security.

The Galaxy Note5 also offers Samsung’s impressive out-of-the-box security platforms, KNOX Active Protection and the My KNOX app. Both of these solutions protect sensitive data, whether personal or private, and are designed to make it easy for the user to ensure data is safe. There is no steep learning curve or need for employees to undergo extensive training. KNOX has features that allow for increased end-user productivity, while also offering an array of security functionalities. Samsung Electronics South Africa has released its most impressive S Pen yet with the Galaxy Note5. Sleek and chic, the S Pen is incredibly versatile with impressive features and capabilities that improve productivity, entertainment and interaction of the device. This signature tool has been upgraded with a host of new functionalities. From Air Command to Smart Capture, the all new S Pen pushes boundaries and redefines the way in which users engage with the Note5 handset.

“Samsung has put a lot of thought into the development of the new S Pen and how it can enhance and empower the user experience,” says Craige Fleischer, Director of Integrated Mobility at Samsung SA. “It unlocks new functionality in the Samsung Galaxy Note5 and has had extra elements added in, that are truly remarkable.”

The redefined S Pen comes with an improved Air Command feature which is activated immediately when the S Pen is removed from the handset or when the button at the top of the pen is pressed. Users can then access the feature with a simple tap of the screen when the floating pen icon appears. Air Command gives users easy access to a menu of three key functions: Screen Write, Smart Select and Action Memo. Shortcuts to frequently used apps can also be added to the menu to quick access.

In addition to the improved menu, Air Command also affords users the ability to take notes even with the screen locked, by simply removing the S pen and writing on the screen. This makes jotting down memos quick and easy.

One of the highlights of the S Pen is the all new Scroll Capture within the Screen Write function which allows a screen shot of long pages to be taken, making it easier to read, annotate and share. For awkward shapes and images, consumers can use Smart Select to outline, adapt and then submitted to the Galaxy Note5 Scrapbook.

The S Pen has a host of features to assist consumers get things done and Samsung have made sure the basics are excellent as well. True-to-life pressure sensitivity and a very accurate pen tip put the writer in complete control. The sensitivity of the S Pen to screen ratio is set to mimic true life writing with complete accuracy and flow, allowing users to create drawings, take notes and work with superb quality. The S Pen can also make notes on PDFs, edit spreadsheets and multitask across a number of windows. With seven different pen types and a refined design, the S Pen is a seamless bridge between the 2D digital world and the 3D physical one.
