Packing an absolutely gorgeous exterior dressed in dazzling blue or black and packing powerful performance at an affordable price point comes the Vivo Y33s. I received one and will be spending time using this device as my daily driver, but for now, here is a quick unboxing and glance into a device which I am already really enjoying.

What’s in the box?

Y33s
Headset
Documentation
USB C Sync Charge Cable
Charger
Sim Eject Tool
TPU Clear Phone Case
Protective Film (applied)

The Vivo Y33s packs powerful internals with its key features including;

  • 6.58-inch FHD Display
  • 5000 mAh Large Battery
  • 18 W Fast Charging
  • 8mm Slim Profile and Design
  • 50 Mp Camera with Ultra Stable Video, Ultra Macro Mode & Night Mode

It seemed perfect to spend some time in the beauty of nature to discover one of its key elements, the pin-sharp 50 Mp camera, and it certainly is impressive. With 10 x zoom ability and its attention to fine details, images snap quickly and in precise quality. I love macro mode photography and the Y33s features an Ultra Macro Mode for serious results.

Battery life has been incredibly good over the past week over testing and usage, with the Y33s producing at least 30 hours of battery life under extensive usage. Charging is also a breeze with the supplied fast power brick, USB C and speed of delivery.

The display is bright, sharp and vivid, making great work of both bright sunlight conditions and those darker interior conditions in which Eye Comfort is much appreciated.

At the heart of Y33s lies a Helio G80 octa-core processor, with CPU clock speeds of up to 2.0GHz. The GPU offers more power, higher image quality and stronger performance than its predecessor, making Y33s stand out in games. The triple card slot supports memory expansion of up to 1TB, so your cherished music, movies, photos and films can easily fit.

Android 11 out of the box with Vivo mobiles FunTouch OS 11.1 works smoothly and does not slow down the overall device with clunky overlays or bloatware.

In Conclusion

I can easily recommend the Vivo Y33s is you want a solid device, one which packs the image, presence and performance and one which comes in at an affordable price. The Y33s is available through major retailers at a price of R5,999.
